Provide AC CC Class Facility to First Class Ticket/Season Ticket Holders in Indian Railway

Hon. Sir,

We are First Class Travelers ,both First class ticket and season ticket holders humbly submit this petition to you for appropriate action.

Indian Railways has stopped providing First Class Coaches in all the trains and continues issue of first class tickets and season tickets. Second class coaches are labelled as "Vice First class" and first class travelers are compelled to travel in these renamed second class coaches.

First class travelers demands (accepting the fact that the railway has stopped manufacturing FC coaches ) AC Chair car coaches in lieu of first class with fare / Season tickets fares compatible to AC Chair car fare.

Our Clear demand is as under.

  1.  In absence of First Class coaches, issue a Government Resolution (GR) allowing First Class Ticket and First Class Season Ticket holders to travel in AC Chair Car coaches.
  2. Replace "Vice First Class" coaches with AC Chair Car coaches at once. This can be done as AC CC coaches are in production.
  3. Railway ministry applies logic as one FC coach has capacity of 26 seats and if there are three coaches in the train, than these three coaches (72 seats) can be replaced by one Ac CC coach with capacity of 71 seats. This is wrong perception. One FC coach with seating capacity of 26 carries 72 passengers in one coach; so the logic to be applied is to replace number of FC coaches with exact number of Ac Chair car coaches.
  4. Issue of First class Tickets and First Class Season Tickets should be stopped once the coaches are replaced with AC Chair car coaches.
  5. New Fare tariff is to be made and implemented as AC Chair Car Tariff/Fare is much more lower than the First Class fare.
  6. If Ministry agrees to all of the above terms, it loses on revenue in terms of difference of First Class fare and Ac Chair Car fare. So it is advisable for railway to produce or import First Class coaches and run. This should not be a big deal for ministry. 
  7. Railway revenue database are based on carrying capacity whereas it should be based on issuance of tickets and season tickets. 
  8. First Class passengers are just 2 % of the total passengers in the train but they pay 14% of fare paid by second class passengers. They pay you what is demanded and in return they want facility at par with a class apart. They are small in numbers but united, affluent, and problem solver at heart. So give them a place in advisory committee.

With this we put up our demand to you. We we open to listen,debate,discuss to resolve the issues as soon as possible.
