Dear all, 

While we oppose the plans by Armidale and Glen Innes council plans to remove the rail line between Armidale and Glen Innes(103kms), we also need to reflect on future possibilities for the rail corridor between Armidale and Queensland border.

One such possibility is to reconceptualise our rail corridor to be used for high speed rail between Sydney and Brisbane. Inland Rail is only for freight, if it will ever be built.

Why not high speed rail between Sydney and Brisbane through New England instead of spending 40b for high speed rail between Sydney and Newcastle?
