Due to novel virus Covid-19, Radford University has halted classes until late April. Until that time classes will be held online but there is a growing notion to cancel in-person classes for the rest of the semester. Radford University has failed to reimburse students for their tuition payments. If students at Radford wanted online classes, they would have simply enrolled in an online school. This is an inconvenience to many, especially those who cannot learn tough college courses through a screen. Radford University prides itself in being the “best value college in the south east”, but almost all students feel ripped off by their college during this pandemic. On top of tuition we are paying for countless fees as well. It is also common knowledge that Amazon gave Radford University a large grant of 17.3 million dollars, and the school also plans to pour 20-25 million dollars into a new hotel and 10 million into a riverfront restaurant. It pains my heart to see the true colors of Radford University and what there priorities actually are. I strongly recommend that Radford University reimburses students for their tuition this semester.
