COVID-19 has expanded globally and therefore universities have decided to move their classes online. This also comes with the repercussions of some universities on the fence of their Spring 2020 commencement. For example: USC, University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins and more have either decided to cancel their graduation ceremony all together or decided to do their ceremony online.

On the behalf of the Radford University class of 2020 please do not cancel our spring 2020 graduation. We have worked vigorously throughout our time here and look forward to holding our degrees that we have worked tirelessly for. In addition Radford Univeristy families, friends, faculty, staff, employees, alumni, donors, etc., have worked endlessly to make our experience happen and letting us have our normal graduation commencement would be a thank you to them. 

We understand the gravity of this outbreak, so if necessary and appropriate please reschedule. We would like to propose if this is not possible we keep the commencement as it is on the same day and if necessary online, to still make our graduation day what we have worked hard for. We just ask humbly to not cancel it altogether.
