Ban "Secure Wrap" Plastic Film at Airports

Ban "Secure Wrap" Plastic Film at Airports
The Issue
While traveling through Malpensa Airport, I saw dozens and dozens of people paying to wrap their luggage in plastic wrap through a service called "Secure Wrap". This service claims to be "Earth conscious" by wrapping it in "non-toxic, recyclable film" yet still supplying plastic film for 15 million inhabitants in Lombardy, Piedmont and Liguria, as well as those living in the Swiss Canton of Ticino (this being the reach of only this one airport).
Secure Wrap claims to give customers "peace of mind while traveling" as if most suitcases aren't already theft proof and durable. People pay anywhere from $16-40 a bag. Meanwhile a reusable luggage cover that does all the same functions as Secure Wrap can be nearly 50% cheaper and a one-time fee.
Secure Wrap is located in over 50 airports, including many of the world’s busiest airports. Headquartered in Miami, Florida.
I am calling airports to recognize their social responsibility by selling reusable luggage covers instead of single-use plastic film. I am calling airports around the world to put the health and future of their customers before their wallets. This is an illogical, absurd service that only contributes to plastic production and pollution by exploiting customers money through fear.
I am calling on public and people who's voices are loud and strong to demand this change. As this petition grows, I call on you to send this link to your nearest airport with Secure Wrap services (find here: www.securewrap.com/locations ). Airports are already known for high single-use plastic production, let's start by tackling a big service that contributes to massive plastic waste.
