Walnut Grove High School is currently facing leadership issues that are undermining its ethos and values. The actions of Mr. Robert Walker have created not only discomfort among students but have also possibly put the institution under legal scrutiny due to clear infringements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This law prohibits any form of discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance.

Over the past few years, a number of incidents have occurred that have exposed the unfairness and racial bias within the classroom, including the use of racial slurs and dismissive responses to student complaints. These actions represent a gross misconduct of the values that the educational system is supposed to uphold. Such unethical practices have created a hostile, racially charged classroom environment, leading to distress, confusion, and unease among students.

It is clear that the current leadership is unable or unwilling to address these serious issues. A change in leadership at WGHS is now critical to protect the integrity of the institution and the well-being of its students. Sign this petition to demand a leadership change at WGHS.
