Greetings supporters,
I just finished my last meeting with the government body in Quebec responsible for processing my appeal against McGill University law school. McGill University law school racially segregates its applicants into 3 groups: Indigenous, Black, and Non Black Non Indigenous. On their website, all applicants have to submit a Personal Statement with only Black applicants being provided with the opportunity to self-report as Black within their Personal Statement. Despite this information, McGill University law school claims they never record the number of Black applicants or Blacks admitted even though they use this information along with grades and LSAT scores to make a decision on whether the Black applicant is admitted to the law school. Interestingly, McGill University medical school has provided me with their applicant and admission data for these 3 applicant racial groups.
The adjudication hearing will not happen until next year. At least this racism will be a matter of public record once this hearing is concluded.
