This is a petition calling for Quinnipiac University administrators and staff to continue suspensions regarding students who broke the university's COVID-19 guidelines and policies in the Fall 2020 semester, and transfer those suspensions into the Spring 2021 term. Students who broke these rules put the university's community at risk as well as the entire Hamden community and should not be given another chance for redemption in the spring. Hundreds of students, faculty, staff, and facilities have tested positive for COVID-19 as a result of these students breaking such guidelines, and the university's community should not be placed at risk in the hands of these selfish students again. We want to be able to carry out the spring term without worrying that 500 students will attend a wild party, and be able to go to class without such concerns in the back of our minds. Yes these students are receiving the punishment of being kicked off for the rest of this semester... but so are the students who did NOTHING wrong. It is time for real action and it is TIME to protect the bobcat bubble for good.
