Multiple, continuing lockdowns across the country have repeatedly knocked barely recovering small business finances. 

In the last lockdown Qld Businesses were promised $5k for every small business with $75k in turnover EVEN if they weren't in a lockdown affected area. To be paid sometime in September, after 4 weeks of trying to juggle the fallout of losses accrued during this time.

The grant is now open (and has been boosted to $10k as lockdowns continue) however excludes MANY hard working, tax paying  Qld businesses, contrary to the promises made by the Qld Government:

EXCLUDED: Business owner / operators who are not employing additional people (or have had to terminate staff due to repeated lockdowns) This is so many cafe owners, small retail outlets, market based business, natural therapy providers, small tourism operators, food trucks, event organisers (to name a few)

EXCLUDED: Sole Traders who make up a huge part of our Tradie workforce, home healthcare providers, creative artists, landscapers, IT repair guys, housekeepers, home-childcare providers, truck drivers, heavy equipment operators.. the list goes on

EXCLUDED: So many of your husbands, wives, children and friends, all working hard trying to get through and do our bit, who had been counting on this lifeline to make ends meet.

Please sign and let the QLD Govt know that ALL taxpaying businesses affected by these lockdowns deserve help to survive. We've contributed to the economy, contributed to the Covid efforts, contributed to society and we just need to be able to pay our accumulated business bills in the face of so much more than $10k in lost income.
