A video resurfaced of a black QCHS student getting told by a white student to “Go pick my cotton.”. The political climate at the moment has caused much tension, that being said, QCHS should not allow political merchandise to be worn on campus (presidential merch, confederate flags, etc). As a black student seeing these kinds of things makes me and many others uncomfortable in an environment that is supposed to be welcoming to all. We don’t come to school to show off our political stance, we come to school to learn.
