The Issue

Every single day I show up to work at Peckish in Boulder, Colorado, filled with hope that today might just be the day. The day that I finally find Smirnoff Ice flowing from the taps. But alas, it's never there. It's disheartening, to say the least. Smirnoff Ice is a beloved drink for me and many others—it's refreshing, popular, and perfect for the vibrant Boulder crowd. Being forced to go through a day without it, or worse, having to settle for something else, is just not fair.

The core issue stands with one person—my boss, TJ. He's managed to craft an establishment that ignores the desires of its patrons. TJ would rather rid the world of Smirnoff Ice than stock it at Peckish, and it's time for a change. This is more than a simple alcohol preference; it's about ensuring variety and having our favorite drinks easily available.

Many Boulder residents and Peckish patrons love Smirnoff Ice. We believe that offering it on tap (or at least having it available in bottles) would enhance our experience, making Peckish a forerunner in catering to the people’s tastes. Honestly, having Smirnoff Ice on site can only bring good things: increase in customer satisfaction, potentially higher revenue from happier patrons, and a more inclusive atmosphere respecting diverse preferences.

Let’s face it, in Boulder, where the social scene is lively and eclectic, having drink options that cater to everyone is a necessity. TJ’s resistance to stocking Smirnoff Ice paints him, unfairly, as mean and inconsiderate. Our goal isn't to create conflict, but to celebrate choice and diversity in our drink selection.

I urge you to support this movement to have Smirnoff Ice on tap at Peckish. Raise your voice and ensure that Peckish takes a step in the right direction. Sign this petition and advocate for a change that will leave patrons cheerful and satisfied. Together, we can make Peckish a more inclusive, enjoyable place to be.
