What is The Hapis Community?
The Hapis Community is a non-profit community founded in January of 2023. It has a team of map developers and volunteers all working together to ensure a stable future for Hapis Island. 

This Community has kept Hapis alive and up-to-date since April of 2023. It has been expanded and improved with monthly updates and improvements, with constant polls and in-depth feedback systems to ensure everyone's voice is heard. 

Why does Hapis Matter?
Hapis has been an integral part of Rust's history since it was added to the game, with many of the largest content creators, such as hJune​, Blooprint, and Spoonkid growing alongside the map, delivering videos on it that have now become classics of Rust, such as Solo's Journey II and SURVIVING on a SCARCE ISLAND. Hapis Island is where many people started out on Rust, including myself. One of my first memories playing this game was dying to cold huddled next to a campfire in the mountains north of refinery. 

When Hapis was officially retired in February of 2023, it just felt wrong. This beloved map had been neglected and had all but fallen apart. It was obvious that the developers just didn't have the time to keep it up to date and bug free, which really sucked to see.

With that, I have made it my mission to never give up on this map and community. This is our chance to ensure a future for Hapis.
