Australia is one of the most resource-rich countries in the world, yet we rely heavily on imported fuel to power our nation.

At a time when Australians are struggling with rising fuel costs and cost-of-living pressures, this dependence on overseas supply makes no sense.

We have the resources. We have the capability. Yet we continue to rely on foreign fuel, leaving Australians exposed to global price shocks, supply disruptions, and unnecessary financial strain.

This is not sustainable.

We call on the Australian Government, led by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, to take immediate action to:

• Rebuild Australia’s domestic fuel refining capacity
• Support responsible Australian oil and energy production
• Reduce reliance on imported fuel
• Strengthen national energy security
• Prioritise affordable energy for Australian families
• Australia must put Australians first.

It’s time to take back control of our energy future and ensure our country is no longer dependent on foreign supply.
