Put a regulation on the usage of generative AI

Put a regulation on the usage of generative AI
The Issue
As an artist myself, I really hate seeing AI art pop up on my page, let alone literal AI ads. Regardless of how easily accessible it is and how simple it is for people to just type out a prompt just for stolen slop to be generated, it's really disappointing knowing that an artist with that certain art style gets no credit and has to constantly see comments asking, "Is this AI?" or "What AI did you use?". I despise how normalized it's become and I, for one, HATE how it's encouraged, how are you going to just let creativity die out like that? I didn't spend my 18 years learning off of others just for some machine to come and replace that actual human spark you'd see on the internet.
Here's some sources I've found if you want boring statistics:
The 2023 survey of artists revealed that 9 out of 10 artists believe current copyright laws are outdated and unable to keep up with the rapid advancements in AI technology. This reflects widespread concern in the art community about how generative AI challenges existing legal protections for creative works. The survey highlights the urgent need for updated regulations to address the implications of AI on artists' rights and compensation.
The global economic study by CISAC reveals that human creators face significant financial risks from generative AI, with potential revenue losses of up to 24% in the music sector and 21% in audiovisual sectors by 2028 due to AI-generated content competing with human-made works. The report emphasizes the urgent need for policies and regulations to protect creators' rights and ensure fair compensation as AI technologies reshape the creative industries. CISAC calls for collaborative efforts to balance innovation with safeguarding the livelihoods of artists worldwide.
It's not just with digital/traditional art either: Those aesthetically pleasing playlist you see on your youtube? Those can be generated by AI as well and you probably just haven't noticed. Literal song artist voices can be mimicked by AI, making "covers" in different genres. That Frank Sinatra covering "From the Start"? THAT'S. STILL. AI. And before you tell me something along the lines of, "But, it's not actively stealing anything, it's just covering the song!" You. Are. Still. Using. AI.
Stop being lazy, learn how to do something that you know you may suck at, we all start off somewhere and we have brains for a reason, AI can't capture feeling like how a human is able to, words can be spoken but they must have connotation: AI may speak, but it lacks feeling in its words. AI may create, but it doesn't relate. So, despise being told "just use AI", know that you're actively stealing someone elses hard work and making slop, just say you're too lazy to learn.
