Purina food contains propylene glycol, which is a chemical used in antifreeze. They use this chemical to sweeten and preserve the food. Although the use of propylene glycol is approved by the FDA, it was banned from cat food due to the increase in illness and deaths and we're now experiencing the same pattern with the dog foods/treats. There have been thousands of reported incidents regarding illnesses, long term health problems and even deaths due to the daily consumption of this food. Every dog that has become ill or died due to Purina has experienced very similar symptoms which include internal bleeding, malfunction or failure of kidney/liver, vomiting, diarrhea, wait loss, dehydration, bloating and even seizures. This is NOT a coincidence and even though the FDA has approved this (due to their testing on rats) horrible chemical, the nutrition and overall safety of our pets is supposed to be their number one concern.
