Pulaski County Against Solar Project started this petition to Pulaski County residents and landowners

Global Energy Generation (GEG) is seeking the Board of Zoning Appeal's approval to install the Largest Solar Plant in the U.S. in Pulaski County, Indiana.  GEG has secretly targeted individual farmers to contract 4,511 acres of productive farm ground to be converted to solar panels in Pulaski County, Indiana.  GEG has continued to contract an additional 3,000+ acres. This will change the culture and rural landscape of Pulaski County forever.  These 7,500+ acres will not be returned to agriculture for 30+ years, if ever!  The Mammoth Solar project will have a lasting, negative impact on agriculture production, jobs, home values, wildlife, environment, soil and water quality, health, safety and our quality of life.

GEG is owned by Clean Air Generation (Nick Cohen from Pennsylvania) and Doral Group Renewable Energy Resources Ltd. (from Israel).  The power generated will not be used or needed in Pulaski County.  This will be their first solar project in the US.

Solar energy is the worse use for tillable farm ground to produce energy compared to fossil fuels, natural gas, nuclear and wind.  Solar power generation is not economical without the Federal Tax Credits, State and County tax abatements. Solar panels are extremely difficult to recycle, may not be disposed in landfills due to the panel's potential hazardous classification, adding additional problems for the environment.

Please sign this petition AGAINST MAMMOTH SOLAR, so Pulaski County BZA members and Commissioners will know you care about the negative impact of this solar project.
