An issue in New York city is public safety. This is an issue because it can bring someone's mental being down. This includes preventing illness and promoting health through programming, services, and policies. Creating safe places for people to work, live, and play are examples of public safety measures taken to protect communities and support well-being. Also,  public safety responses to individuals in a mental health crisis escalate. These conditions affect people who live in boroughs and neighborhoods who crime levels and percentages are high, also people who spend most of their day in the subway.  This is important to me because i spend most of my time in the subway. Usually at night. I have been affected of seeing homeless men getting arrested for robbing stores, selling drugs and etc...
