The RT 2 Addis Ababa petition is launched by Ethiopian journalists citizens and degital influencers, and is aimed to bring the headquarter of the global media company RT in to the Ethiopian capital. The campaign is also a way of expression to show Russia how eagerly we want its global media outlet to establish its continental hub in the capital of the continent.

Considering that The western media is Africa’s worst enemy and that must be countered by Africans retelling own stories. Sothat, this petition is aimed to call Russian TV launch its african headquarter in the continent specially Addis Ababa.

"You control the media whether traditional or social, you'll control the mind of people."

If the western media has done anything for Africa, it has tarnished her image and causing more havoc for it. having learnt from the past and current mistakes, Africans hopefully will not allow that pattern to continue.

So that, Africa needs it's own CNN, RT, Aljazeera BBC... Thus the establishment of the russian flagship tv RT headquarters in the african capital Addis Ababa will certainly help to balance the Western media propaganda in one way, and to support africa be able to have its own media hub.
HOWEVER, This petition is not merely call for the establishment of RT office in addis ababa but also RT is expected to support Africa in building its own media and able to tell its own story
