Public Inquiry into the Miscarriage of Justice Involving Michael Steele and Jack Whomes

Public Inquiry into the Miscarriage of Justice Involving Michael Steele and Jack Whomes
The Issue
As someone personally invested in this case, I have witnessed the tireless efforts of the TM Eye Murder and Serious Crime Review Team. This team, composed of seasoned homicide detectives and forensic experts, spent four years meticulously investigating this case. Their conclusion? Michael Steele and Jack Whomes, convicted in 1998 for the murders of Pat Tate, Tony Tucker, and Craig Rolfe are innocent.
Despite clear new evidence that points to other known suspects as being responsible for these assassinations, Essex police have failed to fully disclose material that would seriously undermine the prosecution. It is deeply troubling that our justice system has seemingly buried the truth rather than pursue it.
The Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) refuses to consider this extensive report and new evidence. The Independent Office for Police Conduct also refuses to investigate linked corruption allegations.
This is not just about two men; it's about justice itself. If we allow such miscarriages to go unchallenged, we undermine faith in our legal system.
We demand a public inquiry into this miscarriage of justice involving Michael Steele and Jack Whomes. We call on those with power - from lawmakers to law enforcement - not only to re-examine their convictions but also investigate potential misconduct within Essex Police force.
Please sign this petition if you believe in justice being served fairly without prejudice or bias.
