Science clearly shows that there is aerosol transmission in classrooms and that wearing a masks reduces the risk of infection.   Social distancing is impossible in most schools so the only way to attend school and reduce the risk is to wear a mask, however many schools do not allow this even for older students . 

This is wrong on many levels,  students should be allowed to wear masks to do what they can to prevent both themselves (COVID is causing long term health problems in young people too);and their loved ones from infection with a serious  possibly life threatening condition. Surely health and safety indicate this and it should be a human right

I understand it may affect teaching and learning but also am certain that continued infections will affect it more!  In my case I am vulnerable and having lost my son's father 2 years ago , my contracting COVID 19  could result in my leaving my son an orphan! I'm sure this is true for many others.

Please sign and give students the right to wear a mask if they want to
