If drugs ruin people’s lives, break up families and have disastrous effects on our communities, I firmly stand to the fact that Muhammad Syafie Ismail has caused the same to the victims, their families and our community. I’m sick and tired of watching helplessly of criminals walking free with light or at times very short sentences for such horrendous crimes. Muhammad Syafie Ismail has shown no form of remorse and he certainly deserves the maximum sentence to be enforced against him. I see this as an even bigger crime than those committed by drug traffickers. I pray that for a country which sentences drug traffickers to death, Muhammad Syafie Ismail, is not let away lightly, for him to be sentenced accordingly and justice is served to Afifah and Norzihan.
