On March 24, 2021, T.C. and his family visited the Red Robin restaurant at 12560 SE 93rd Avenue in Clackamas, OR. After being told that his family of eight would have to be seated separately, T.C. inquired of management as to why several other large parties were being seated together and theirs couldn't. The manager of the restaurant referred to T.C.'s family, who are Black, as a "big gang", leading the family to believe that the restaurant's refusal to seat them together was racially motivated. 

The family was eventually seated, and then ordered, received, and began to consume their food. After eating a significant amount of the salad he had ordered, T.C. was horrified to discover that human body fluids had been concealed within the leafy greens. T.C. began vomiting and was taken to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with nausea and acute anxiety.

Laboratory testing later confirmed that the substance that was put into his salad by a Red Robin employee was semen.

Sheriff's investigators were initially denied a list of the male employees on shift that evening due to a "computer hack", but the list has since been provided. It is unknown at this time whether or not DNA samples have been obtained from those employees to ascertain who the perpetrator of this crime is. Criminal charges are yet to be filed, and Clackamas County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that there is an ongoing investigation.

The residents of Clackamas County stand with T.C., and demand justice and appropriate compensation for the horror that he has endured. As such, we demand that the following steps be taken by Red Robin:

* Immediate financial compensation to T.C., in an amount that is on par with the egregious, dangerous, and disgusting nature of this crime, without putting him through the further indignity of a lengthy trial

* Full and immediate payment of T.C.'s medical bills

* Full cooperation with law enforcement in identifying and bringing charges against the perpetrator of this crime

* Immediate termination of the employee responsible, as well as anyone else involved, should that be discovered in the course of the investigation

* Both a public and private apology to T.C.

* A statement of the policy and training changes that address the importance of diversity and inclusion, as well as the dangers and illegality of tampering with food, specifically pertaining to bio-hazards.

T.C.'s community also asks that you, as a consumer, do not patronize any Red Robin establishment until such time that these basic reparations are met. Updates will be provided as they are available.
