Giant 90+ foot steel utility poles have been installed (or will be installed) in Garden City (and neighboring towns) along the Third Rail Expansion Project.  These poles are unsightly and greatly alter the complexion of our town.  The solution is to remove the poles and have the lines buried underground, or at the very least, use smaller and less obtrusive options that can be camouflaged with appropriate landscaping.   These giant poles have no place in a highly residential neighborhood and must be removed!  Other towns on Long Island have had success in getting poles removed - with enough coordinated opposition from GC residents we can force those responsible to respect the character of the town we all live in.
