Residents of Clane, Naas, Maynooth and multiple other towns in the North Kildare region understand more than substantially the  infrequency and low capacity that continually proves an issue for regular users of the R139 bus route operated by JJ Kavanagh and Sons. This poorly maintained and clearly underfunded service is a source of constant delay to citizens of this locality. The JJ Kavanagh company are currently working towards offering more regular services along this route, however this is at the discretion of the National Transport Authority.

In order for the issues of the 139 bus service to be resolved, this petition offers local people the opportunity to create a clear show of demand that we hope will convince the NTA of the need for this improved timetable of hourly buses. In light of the fact that passengers can and often are left waiting up to half an hour longer than scheduled for their bus, the system is in definete need of change. 

It goes without saying, therefore, that your support of this local cause will be critical in lobbying the NTA into funding this revamped service provision. Please be sure to have your say in enforcing this change for the citizens of North Kildare.
