Many children, instead of basking in the joy of play, are confined indoors simply because we lack the infrastructure to provide them protection from sunburn and heat.
Our children deserve better. They deserve to play, explore, and grow without limitations created by their environment. The solution is clear, practical, and within reach: installing UV protective covers, also known as shade clothes, over our playground.
Forking the cost of installation of these shade structures is a small price to pay for the well-being and safety of our children. According to Princeton University's Environmental Institute, shaded areas can potentially lower ambient temperatures by up to 10 degrees Fahrenheit, significantly impacting the comfort and usability of outdoor spaces.
