SB381 has passed Part 1 of Assembly Appropriations!

Hello Everyone. We have 2550 Signatures! Numbers matter!!!! You matter!
From our California Alliance for Adoptee Rights Team:
As expected, SB 381 was placed on the Suspense file yesterday following the Assembly Appropriations hearing.
This is a normal, procedural step, most bills with any fiscal impact go through this stage, and it doesn’t reflect anything negative about the bill.
Here is how you can help.
The real decision happens around August 13, when the committee decides which bills move forward off Suspense. Between now and then is exactly when your calls can make a difference!
Call (916) 319-2014 (Chair Wicks’ office) and ask her to pass SB 381 from the suspense file to the floor. It should take less than a minute . If you call after hours, an answering machine will pick up your message.
"Hi, my name is (your name). I'm calling to ask Chair Wicks to please do pass SB 381 from the suspense file and advance it to the floor. This important bill will restore equality to adoptees
and has no formal opposition. Thank you!"
Thank you for continuing to show up for adult adoptees across California. Every call helps.
Have a good Thursday!
Paul
