Smartphones are undeniably integral to our daily activities, but they also pose a distraction, especially in a learning atmosphere. Currently, Angmering School lacks a system to manage this. Other institutions like TLA have adopted innovative solutions, such as providing pouches for smartphones. These pouches allow students to safely store their phones when not in use, reducing distractions without restricting access when they are truly needed, such as during commutes or emergencies.

The implementation of mobile pouches has shown positive results where others like TLA have already integrated them into their schools. Not only have they contributed to enhanced focus during class, but they also tend to students' needs before and after school, ensuring convenience and readiness as students transition into adulthood.

Many families in Angmering face the decision of whether to permit smartphones, fearing it might get their child in to trouble whilst keeping them safe. The Angmering School need to understand how crucial these devices are, given the modern challenges of monitoring kids’ safety, handling public transport issues, and dealing with digital payments. Instead of viewing smartphones as disruptors, we propose the use of pouches to turn them into a well-managed resource.

By equipping each student with a smartphone pouch, Angmering School can set a standard for responsible technology use, fostering an environment where learning comes first while still respecting the practical needs of students.
