In Calgary (like some of the other IMAX locations with a 70mm Film Projector), aside from Christopher Nolan movies, we very rarely get any of the IMAX 70mm film prints sent to our theatre.

For Dune: Part Three, some of which was shot for IMAX on 70mm film, we are calling on Legendary Pictures and Warner Brothers Distribution to produce enough IMAX 70mm film reels to send to all 41 movie theatres with an IMAX 70mm film projector (including Calgary) and make arrangements with IMAX to have projectionists provided for those 41 locations.

There is a broad appreciation for the preservation of film as a medium and a very clear demand for IMAX 70mm film.
IMAX 70mm screenings of the Odyssey are continually selling out, and the same would undoubtedly happen for Dune: Part Three. 

This will be the ONLY way to see this version of the movie and it would be a shame if there are cities and theatres equipped to show it in this way that would miss out.
While there is an added cost to arrange this for all 41 theatres, the benefits are sure to pay enormous dividends.
