We, the undersigned workers of the Fairview Riverside Behavioral Evaluation Center (BEC), stand together as one. We believe that decisions by hospital administration have led to unsafe staffing and acceptance of highly acute patients in our department. With the goal of creating a safe environment for our patients and our coworkers, we demand the following from hospital administration who are empowered to act and address these concerns. 

• Safe patient care environment: removing half-wall, sleeping situation, extended milieu (EM) nursing station, etc.   **the environment is not safe for patients and staff**
• Management to be present in the milieu 
• Security Risk Assessment 
• Resources: music therapist, child life specialists, etc.
• Director to do regular rounds on the unit
