I am a resident of Taytay, Rizal in the Philippines. Every day, I witness our fellow citizens suffering from various diseases without access to proper treatment. This is not just an observation but a heartbreaking reality that many of us face daily.

In our town alone, countless individuals are battling illnesses that could be managed or even cured with appropriate medical care. However, due to financial constraints and lack of accessible healthcare facilities, these people are left to fight their battles alone.

According to the Department of Health (DOH), around 7 million Filipinos still have no access to health services due to financial barriers and geographical isolation (DOH 2018). In Taytay, this issue is glaringly evident as many residents struggle with diseases without receiving adequate medical attention.

This petition seeks urgent action from local government units and health agencies. We implore them to prioritize healthcare accessibility in Taytay by establishing affordable healthcare facilities within reach of every resident and implementing programs that will help financially challenged individuals receive the treatment they need.

We believe that everyone has the right to quality healthcare regardless of their economic status. Let's stand together for those who are suffering silently among us - because everyone deserves a fighting chance against disease.
