TfL - Mayor’s Annoucment 53 toilets

🚻 We welcome TfL and the Mayor’s announcement of 53 new bus-driver toilet blocks over the next three years. It shows that investment in driver welfare is possible and as mentioned it’s a “political choice”. 

But three years is a long time – and we still need an answer for Routes 58 & 115.

Until then, what are drivers supposed to do?

❌ Bottles
❌ Try to use the Beckton bus Stn
❌ Use the park
❌ Hold it in

❌ Run in to Walthamstow /Aldgate Bus station busting for a toilet and potentially impair judgement by holding it in?

❌ Pay the cafe, use bookies etc

This is unacceptable, undignified and potentially unsafe.

Bus drivers should not have to fight for something as basic as access to a toilet in one of the richest countries in the world.
