Dear neighbor,

PROTECT YOUR FAMILY’S PROPERTY RIGHTS!

THERE IS STILL TIME TO PARCIPATE AND PROTEST!

You may have received a letter from the Englewood Arts District, case #24-100-21, which states that you are within a new rezoning overlay. This overlay of residential and commercial property and neighborhoods, is defined as “Truman Road on the north, Crysler Avenue, Lexington Avenue, Walnut Street and Crysler Avenue on the east, 23rd Street on the south, and Arlington Avenue, 20th Street, Crescent Avenue, 18th Street and Brookside Avenue on the west”. The overlay allows "spot rezoning" to high-density, mixed-use housing, which includes low-intensity commercial businesses.

HOW THIS AFFECTS YOU:  Cottage clusters could be built near you.  Cottage clusters are rentals with a minimum of three (3) single-family homes per cluster.  Low-intensity commercial businesses will be allowed to operate out of the clusters.

If you object to a particular cluster location or to a business for any reason, too bad!  The "spot-rezoning" overlay proposal takes away your right to protest in the future!

We need as many people to speak against this as possible.

Don’t throw away your ability to make crucial decisions that involve your home!  This attempt to rezone all the properties in your neighborhood, without your permission, must be stopped!  We need to stand together to defeat this dangerous overreach that threatens the rights of all homeowners.
