The Issue

The tragic death of the iconic Grizzly Bear 399 should not remain just another statistic. This loss personal to me as it highlights how insufficient protections for wildlife has led to numerous unnecessary deaths. Each year, wildlife in Yellowstone National Park, Teton National Park, and surrounding areas are at risk due to the speedier actions of some drivers. Not enough is being done to mitigate this problem. We need to advocate for lower speed limits throughout these parks and surrounding areas. This not only benefits wildlife, but overall safety for park visitors too.

Around 1-2 million roadkill incidents occur within the U.S's national parks annually, threatening local eco-systems and species (source: U.S. Department of Transportation). By lowering speed limits and raising awareness among drivers, we could significantly reduce these numbers and protect the natural habitants of these parks.

Please join me in calling for a reduction in speed limits in Yellowstone National Park, Teton National Park, and surrounding areas in the hopes of offering stronger protections for our treasured wildlife. Act now, sign this petition.
