The Issue

📝 Petition Statement

To: The UK Government, Home Office, and Department of Health and Social Care

Care Workers are the backbone of our society. They work tirelessly day and night to look after the elderly, disabled, and vulnerable people across the UK. Without their dedication, compassion, and hard work, the entire care system would collapse.

However, the current situation is deeply unfair:

1. Unjust Immigration Rules: Despite their vital contribution, care workers face long and uncertain pathways to settlement. We demand that Care Workers be granted Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in just 3 years, similar to the concessions given under the Global Talent Visa route. They deserve security, stability, and the right to build their future in the country they serve.

2. Punish the Exploiters: Many care workers have been brutally exploited by dishonest agents and consultancies. These fraudsters have looted thousands of pounds from innocent people, misusing the system and destroying lives. Instead of punishing the workers, the Government must strictly punish these agents and fraudsters, investigate their crimes, and close loopholes so no one can misuse the system again.

3. Protect the System: Punishing hardworking workers for the crimes of others will only lead to staff shortages and the collapse of the care sector. We need to retain talent, not drive them away.

✍️ Our Demands:

✅ Grant ILR to Care Workers after 3 years of service.

✅ Launch strict investigations and punish agents who looted money and exploited workers.

✅ Ensure a fair and just immigration policy that values the contribution of care staff.
