Chickens are vulnerable animals and are often violated and terrorized by crazy drivers. The rooster symbolizes good luck, wealth, good fortune, new day and hope.  We are very lucky to still have roosters in little Haiti and a good population of chickens.  They are free roaming animals and are vulnerable from people capturing them for sacrifices of different beliefs and crazy drivers terrorizing them. We are very privilege to have remaining native species in Little Haiti and they should be protected. I have been watching the chickens for many years and they are diminishing due to the changes that are happening in the area and lack of protection. Let's all be good citizens and protect this vulnerable nice animal.
