The Carolina Hammerhead is an endangered species in our area that needs protecting.  This species is threatened by overfishing as well as habitat degradation. For a class project, we are trying to gather support this species. Discovered in 2013, this species is very similar to the Scalloped Hammerhead. Sharks are important predators that help keep the ecosystem in balance. Carolina Hammerheads are no different. Protecting these sharks is an important step to protecting the oceans and the planet as a whole.
