Today I’m incredibly grateful.

Because of the voices of so many parents, community members, and advocates, Eric Crawford has stepped down as pastor of Heritage Baptist Church announced as of March 2nd. You can see their post here.

This was never about attacking a church. It was never about drama. It was about safety. Accountability. And creating a culture where people speak up when something is wrong.

To everyone who signed, shared, messaged, prayed, encouraged, and stood firm - thank you. Your voices mattered. They made a difference.
This shows what can happen when a community chooses courage over silence. The work doesn't end here. We owe it to our kids to hold others accountable who have participated in the same coverup on larger scales in our government, in our corporations and in our country.
