As a dedicated racing pigeon owner, I am starting this petition because our beloved birds are under a deadly threat. Every week, thousands of racing pigeons take off from various counties and even different countries. Our prized birds race through the skies, their course set for home. However, this journey often turns into a perilous one as these innocent birds are attacked by hawks, peregrines, and other birds of prey.

The aftermath is harrowing. Many of our birds either come back home wounded and torn open by these predators, or sadly, quite a few don't make it home at all. These predators swoop down in mid-flight with their formidable talons, and with a heart-wrenching disregard for our pigeons' well-being, tear them apart and consume them.

This savage and inescapable jeopardy is wreaking havoc in the world of pigeon racing. Not only is the sport suffering, but also the heart and spirit of the owners who love and care for these pigeons are crushed.

How can we live with such pain? How can we accept the brutal end of our beloved pigeons this way? We cannot. And we must not.

We, therefore, call for urgent and necessary measures to protect our racing pigeons. With this petition, we are requesting the local and international bird racing associations and environmental authorities to explore and establish effective strategies for safeguarding our racing pigeons during their weekly flights.

Let's not let our sport die a slow death. Let's save our racing pigeons from this tragic end. No creature deserves to live a life filled with such brutal fear and pain. Sign this petition to ensure our pigeons live and fly in safety.
