I live in Belleview, FL, and I'm deeply concerned about a proposed development that could negatively impact my livelihood and the local community. Currently, my property on the A1 zoning is a tranquil, rural land where I raise horses and cattle. My farm also boasts a flourishing garden, contributing to the local agricultural scene. There are neighboring horse farms, and we have created a strong, interconnected community of local farmers and animal enthusiasts.

Recently, we've learned that there is a plan to change the zoning from A1 to B2 to build a gas station right alongside my property. This development would mean not just an invasion of traffic and noise but a potential devaluation of my property. Our animals require peace and open space, and the construction and continuous operation of a gas station would severely disrupt their environment.

Additionally, the environmental impact concerns me. Gas stations have historically contributed to soil and water contamination, which would be detrimental to my garden and harmful to the health of all living creatures in the vicinity. We all depend on clean water and soil to sustain our agricultural practices.

Belleview thrives on its rural charm and agricultural roots. Allowing commercial development to encroach on our farmlands undermines the community’s values and economic stability.
