Protect our children with immediate suspension & lifetime school ban for accused staff
The Issue
🔥 ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. OUR CHILDREN DESERVE PROTECTION — NOT PREDATORS. 🔥
I never thought I’d be here — a mother standing against an entire school district — but when you learn that the superintendent entrusted with children has been accused of allegedly sexually abusing a disabled student and another, silence is no longer an option.
And before anyone says “wait for the investigation,” let me make something clear:
👉 A child reported abuse.
👉 The district kept it quiet.
👉 Parents were left in the dark.
👉 And other children were still forced to walk into that building every day.
This is not confusion.
This is not a misunderstanding.
This is a SYSTEM protecting power over children.
⸻
📊 NATIONAL REALITY CHECK
These aren’t isolated stories. This is a crisis:
• 1 in 10 students will experience sexual misconduct by a school employee before graduating high school.
• Over 7% of all sexual offenses against children nationwide are committed by educators or school staff.
• Only about 5% of educator sexual misconduct cases are ever publicly exposed.
• 90% of abused children know their abuser — and predators often hide in trusted positions.
• And the worst one: Districts frequently move accused staff quietly, a practice so common it has a name — “passing the trash.”
Yet schools like ours still want parents to “trust the process.”
⸻
🔥 HERE’S WHAT I SAY:
A child’s safety is worth more than ANY adult’s reputation.
One accusation = IMMEDIATE removal until investigation is complete.
No exceptions. No hiding. No silence.
If we don’t demand this, then WE become part of the silence that hurts children.
⸻
⚠️ OUR DISTRICT FAILED.
They didn’t warn parents.
They didn’t protect our kids.
They kept a predator in power while children walked the halls afraid.
If your stomach drops reading that…
GOOD.
It should.
Because the truth is this:
If a child had NOT spoken up, how many more would have been hurt?
⸻
✊ I AM CALLING EVERY PARENT, EVERY ADVOCATE, EVERY HUMAN WITH A BEATING HEART:
Choose a side.
Right now.
Not tomorrow.
Not when it’s safe.
Not when the district finally admits fault.
You’re either protecting children or protecting the system that harms them.
⸻
📝 SIGN THE PETITION. STAND WITH OUR KIDS.
No more passing predators.
No more silence.
No more cover-ups.
No more children sacrificed for bureaucracy.
We are done being quiet.
We are done being ignored.
We are done letting anyone — ANYONE — harm our babies under the name of “education.”

👆 Protect our children like their lives depend on it…
Because they do.
My name is Ashley Pebley, and I’m a mom. Like every parent, I trusted our schools to protect our children. But recent allegations of inappropriate behavior by a school employee have shown just how fragile that trust can be—and how easily silence can protect predators instead of children.
I cannot stay quiet. I cannot wait for someone else to act. This is personal to me, as it is personal to every parent, teacher, and community member who has ever entrusted a child to the education system. Our children should never feel unsafe in the very place they are supposed to be nurtured and educated. It is time for us to take a stand and demand that those in positions of trust and authority take meaningful action to ensure the safety of our children.
We call on our legislators and school board to pass and implement a law to protect the safety and well-being of children by ensuring:
1. **Immediate suspension of any school employee accused of sexual misconduct.** This will maintain the integrity of our school environment while an investigation is conducted.
2. **A lifetime ban from all schools pending the outcome of an investigation.** This measure serves not only as a deterrent but as a protective layer for all students.
3. **Mandatory reporting to law enforcement and the Department of Human Services (DHS).** This ensures transparency and accountability, making certain that all allegations are handled with the seriousness they deserve.
4. **Parent notification within 24 hours of the allegation.** It is crucial that parents are made aware immediately so that they can take proactive measures to protect their children.
These steps are necessary to rebuild the trust that has been broken and create an educational environment where children can feel safe and guardians can have peace of mind. Protecting our students should be the top priority of every institution, and silence should never be an option.
Stand with me in demanding better protections for our children. We must act now to prevent any more tragedies from happening. Please sign this petition and help us ensure the safety of our future generation.
