My name is Andrea O’Shaughnessy. I’m a mother, a whistleblower, and a survivor of sustained institutional failure by Barnet Council, Barnet Homes, and the Metropolitan Police.

Since raising serious safeguarding concerns, my children and I have been subjected to:

Death threats, arson attacks, and targeted harassment
Deliberate placement in dangerous housing conditions
Neglect and intimidation by officials paid to protect us
No meaningful police investigation, despite overwhelming evidence
Psychological trauma and educational harm to my children
The loss of their father, who was forced to leave the UK due to the pressure and died in Storm Isha last year

We have followed every legal path, every complaints procedure, and submitted evidence to every agency involved — and still, we have received no justice, no protection, and no accountability.

Meanwhile, the professionals involved in our case remain in senior safeguarding and housing roles across Barnet’s local authorities. This means:

Every child and family in this borough remains at risk.

We are not the only ones. Families like mine are suffering in silence — too scared to speak out, fearing retaliation or loss of housing and support.

We Demand:

✅ A fair and independent police investigation into all crimes and failures reported

✅ Immediate safeguarding and safe housing for my family

✅ Full independent inquiry into Barnet Council and Met Police conduct

✅ Suspension and investigation of implicated professionals

✅ National policy reforms for whistleblower protection and safeguarding enforcement

✅ Recognition that our right to safety, protection, and justice has been breached
