Our houses back onto the beautiful green fields of Old Snydale, Pontefract. We cherish these greenbelt fields for their natural beauty and the tranquility they provide. The proposal to build battery storage units or any other structures within these fields threatens to destroy this cherished landscape.

Greenbelt land is meant to be preserved for its environmental benefits, including providing habitats for wildlife and acting as a carbon sink. According to the UK Government's National Planning Policy Framework, building on greenbelt land should only occur under exceptional circumstances.
