

The PA Department of Environmental Protection will hold a public hearing on May 3 at 6:30 pm in Smithfield Volunteer Fire Company hall about Rutters' permit application to build a truck stop next to and uphill from Old Crow wetland. This is our chance to give our opinions on the proposed 7 acre truck stop. It would be one of the largest truck stops in central PA and would change the flow of traffic on 22 as well as harm Old Crow wetland. Register to speak at the hearing by emailing John Repetz -- jrepetz@pa.gov (Community Relations Coordinator for DEP's Southcentral region).
