Dear signer of the petition asking Rutters gas stations not to build next to our wetland,
After four years, Rutters is still trying to get DEP permits and township permission to build a 7 acre truck stop in Huntingdon PA, next to and uphill from Old Crow wetland. We can prevent them from building there and destroying the wetland. They have until January 5 2023 to re-submit their application to DEP. Rutters should choose another site for their truck stop.
Now is a good time to write to Pennsylvania DEP to ask for a public hearing on this issue. Write a short email to Scott Williamson scwilliams@pa.gov and Nathan Phillips natphillip@pa.gov, include your name and why you want a public hearing (problems with Rutters' stormwater management plan and other issues that could harm the wetland).
