Marine Biodiversity

Hi reader ! I would love to tell you about biodiversity(it means how different we are from one another). Biodiversity is diversity in the living world around us from the baby sized chipmunks to titanic blue whales. They can be linked and members from the same species are diverse. The food chain also has links. If us people break it the whole ecosystem could fall like trees in a storm surge/cyclone. 

Now marine biodiversity is diversity in the sea.So the diversity has ecosystems where different species like to interact.And so biodiversity has limits and in marine biodiversity if destroyed the balance it will fall like destroy the topper animals like sharks its prey will have many reproduction. Then prey of sharks will eat all of their prey because of high pop and then it will just WOOSH.The ocean gives food medicine and activities.

Ding! Time for the animal I’ve chosen to tell you how many are left …………… the maui's dolphin! 

Overhunting of this creature pulled it to the brink of extinction and there’s only 55!Now that's shocking! So you know that we are also putting its predator and prey in danger. The predator is SHARKS and prey is small red cod, āhuru flatfish, stargazer, sprat and arrow squid. When people pollute the prey drop in numbers and oil spills are part of the problem so find a way that does no damage to the sea.Their maori name is POPOTO and they live in the west coast.  These dolphins are poor and sad.They have black heads and grey bodies and white undersides.

We need to protect the dolphins because there are less than 56 in the wild and breeding is not enough. The dolphin's prey are really good seafood but if we keep this up the dolphins will go like a blink of an eye. The boats run into dolphins so please  put a speed limit for boats.Last things last, put lids on ship bins because trash could come out and harm not just dolphins but every other creature too because the creatures would die with plastic in their stomach. If we keep this up the dolphins would be EXTINCT 

Fact 

If we keep on doing this the fish would eat the trash and if we eat that fish we will be eating our own trash!

So protect these amazing creatures so we can experience them into the far future.
