Officer TAZ is trained to serve and protect us, yet he is not being protected himself. Each day that Ethan Cunningham is allowed to mistreat this skilled and noble animal is another day that TAZ is subjected to unnecessary harm, affecting his ability to serve our community and endangering his well-being.

We call upon the relevant authorities to immediately intervene and investigate the allegations against Handler Ethan Cunningham. There must be a full inquiry into the treatment of K9 Officer TAZ and reassignment of his care.

Abuse of law enforcement animals must not be tolerated or ignored. Officer TAZ has given his duty selflessly and deserves to be treated with the respect and care he has earned.
