Protect Immigrant Women and Children from Human Trafficking

Protect Immigrant Women and Children from Human Trafficking
The Issue
Human trafficking is a serious human rights issue, the majority of human trafficking victims are immigrant women and children. Many victims are targeted because they are vulnerable, isolated, unaccompanied, or lack resources and support. Survivors often face physical, emotional, and financial hardships that can last for years.
I am petitioning for lawmakers to increase funding for shelters, legal assistance, healthcare, counseling, and other support services for the survivors of human trafficking. These programs would give survivors safety, recovery, and opportunities to regain their footing. Not only would an increase in funding help victims and survivors, but organizations would increasingly benefit from this. Organizations would be able to more easily identify and assist victims before they can experience any more harm.
By supporting immigrant women and children who have survived trafficking, we can help create safer communities, and ensure these vulnerable individuals receive the protection and resources that they deserve. I hope lawmakers will take this issue seriously and provide the support that survivors need.
NOTICE: Please do not donate any money towards this.
Goal: Increase funding for shelters, legal aid, counseling, and other support services for survivors of human trafficking
