Hollywood Casino at Charles Town still allows smoking indoors.  Smoking is partially or completely banned in casinos in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and other states by state law.  West Virginia has no such law and likely never will. 

Smoking cigarettes has many negative health effects, including:  
  
Cancer: Smoking is the leading cause of lung cancer and can cause cancer in many other parts of the body.  
  
Cardiovascular disease: Smoking can cause heart disease, stroke, and aortic aneurysm.  
  
Respiratory disease: Smoking can cause chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema.  
  
Diabetes: Smoking can cause type 2 diabetes.  
  
Other health risks: Smoking can cause osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, and tooth loss.  
  
Mental health: Smoking can increase the risk of depression and anxiety.  
  
Pregnancy complications: Smoking during pregnancy can increase the risk of early delivery, low birth weight, stillbirth, and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).  
  
Sexual performance: Smoking can decrease sexual performance and increase the risk of erectile dysfunction (ED).  
  
Brain health: Smoking can reduce the volume of gray matter in the brain and increase the risk of dementia.  
  
Skin and nails: Smoking can stain nails and deepen wrinkles.  
  
Sense of smell: Smoking can damage nerve endings in the nose, reducing the sense of smell over time.  
  
 
Smoking is the leading cause of preventable death in the United States, causing more than 480,000 deaths each year.  

Smokers will tell you that there are designated non-smoking areas, as if some invisible wall keeps the smoke away from these non-smoking areas.  It does not.

Further, smoking is allowed at the gaming tables, and most smokers are not considerate enough to get up and smoke away from the table they are playing at.  

Smoking is dangerous to guests/patrons, many of whom spend extended periods of time gambling.  The staff of the casino never gets a break from the stench of tobacco.

Guests leave the place stinking like cigarettes.

The casino is currently replacing carpeting - possibly because the disgusting smell of cigarettes permeated the place (it did).

We are calling upon the management of Hollywood Casino at Charles Town to ban smoking and make smokers go outside to smoke for the health of guests and staff.

They will likely claim that it will damage their business but since other casinos have banned smoking and are taking in huge profits, this is simply not true.
