we fiercely oppose the decision to transform Freshwater Senior Campus into an all-age school. This institution was purposely-built to nurture senior students during the crucial HSC years. The proposed change drastically undermines this purpose, dilutes essential resources, and risks shattering a focused learning environment essential for our senior-students' success. 

In 2019, The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority revealed that schools exclusively dedicated to senior students produce more effective outcomes than combined senior and junior schools, with increased resources availability and a focused learning environment being key contributing factors. Notwithstanding this research evidence, this decision was made without proper community consultation, dismissing the needs and well-being of both students and staff.

The Freshwater Senior Campus is more than just a building for us; it’s a mission, a vision of equipping our young adults for the future. It's time our voices were heard.

We urge decision-makers to do the right thing: reconsider the decision and preserve the Freshwater Senior Campus as the sanctum of senior education that it was intended to be. Our young people merit nothing less. Please show your support by signing this petition today.
