ABC LAND EXCHANGE

Please take a moment to email the National Forest Service in regards to the exchange or sale of Francis Marion National Forest. The Forest Service now has the ability to SELL tracks of land. Sadly, industrial businesses can and are trying to obtain these tracks at extremely low rural rates compared to commercial/industrial zoned property. This will completely destroy the Francis Marion National Forest we all already love and call home. This is the first attempt, but the forest service has selected tracks to be exchanged or sold across the state in the near future. Many of these tracks are between forest and farmland/personal property. This is NO PLACE for industrial growth.

Please help us stop the first attempt and add restrictions to the property being sold/exchanged to better preserve and protect our public lands!

What we want :
A)Regardless of if the Forest Service pursues Alternative 1 or 2, we are asking them to implement deed restrictions or a conservation easement on the property to protect it from industrialization or development.
B)Beyond that, we are asking them to pursue Alternative 2 opening the option to obtain the property to the community at large and not just to "Peak Properties, LLC" who is currently seeking the exchange to industrialize it. This is Public Land we all pay for, we deserve the option to purchase it.
